Craig Watson is a hip-hop artist from Philadelphia, PA. His musical journey began at the age of 8 when he was first introduced to pop music, but it wasn’t until the pop station he was first acquainted with malfunctioned that he discovered his next true passion: hip-hop. 

 

What started as a casual interest quickly evolved into a genuine love for the genre, leading Craig to freestyle at lunch tables by age 10 and perform in school talent shows by 14. His first talent show was in the 6th grade. In 7th & 8th grade Craig developed his skill and stage presence. Peers around him began encouraging him that he could succeed with the right dedication. Since quarantine occurred during his 8th grade year that left him with lots of time at home which led him towards writing verses and uploading videos on Instagram. Craig's music includes a unique alternative hip-hop sound blending with thoughtful lyricism, personality, versatile flows/cadences, and more.

Throughout his life, Craig has faced many personal challenges, including struggles with abandonment, seeking approval, and battling depression. Since devoting his life to the Lord in August 2023, Craig has found peace and purpose granted to him from God which truly has uplifted the trajectory of his life. Craig’s music is created from a triumphant soulful place to resonate with the hearts of the audience allowing them to realize they’re not alone, but victorious trampling over the obstacles of life reaching peace, purpose, and fulfillment.
