Doc Hero is an artist, writer, performer– born and raised in West Philadelphia. “Music has always been a part of my life, but it’s become my mission field." Doc was only 15 years old when his older brother tragically died. "The lifestyle he was living put him in the wrong place at the wrong time– and his life was cut way too short."

 

For Doc he recognizes "there are a lot of kids– just like my brother was – who are going through life without a purpose. They're looking for acceptance: totally unaware that they were created for something more."

 

“Hero Island isn’t just about music– it’s about bringing people together to inspire the next generation. It’s about giving people hope. It’s about opening a door for someone that didn’t even know how to knock. It’s about helping them find their voice, and then using that vehicle to help them find their purpose. It’s about teaching them to dream. If I can use my music to convince one person that their future is bigger than what they’re living right now– then to me... that’s everything."
